Napping isn't mandatory but resting however that looks will be supported. Collective napping has picked up steam ever since the recent book Rest is Resistance by Tricia Hersey came out. This book called rest an act of resistance to grind culture and ultimately white supremacy. In my rope journey rest has proven to be one of the consistent things that folks thank me for. Allowing yourself a moment of intentional rest while surrounded by folks who share a similar kink, Skill, talent can be a powerful and encouraging experience.

The Art of Losing with MXJosie & PDXCinder (All, Partial)

This class will focus on how to create and intensify predicament positions that can be made using only single columns on the floor. Predicaments are an excellent way to intensify and connect in your scenes. This class will allow you to include them in your rope scenes regardless of your level of experience.

Predicaments are a way to put your partner in a lose-lose situation, placing them in positions where they can sink into one type of discomfort or another. This type of play can invoke suffering and pain while pushing a bottom’s stamina. This class will give you hands on opportunities to learn and practice some of these positions as well as ideas to create your own predicament scenarios. You will learn how to negotiate for these types of scenes, tie a non-collapsing single column tie, tie a calf tortuous calf binder, and create three stress positions using the single column. We will also discuss ways to intensify your predicaments and create your own. While a lot of other bondage tools can be used in predicaments, we will focus on using only rope (and probably some bottle caps). After this class, tops will leave with working knowledge of how to tie a single column tie and use it to create challenging positions and situations. Bottoms will leave with experience in these positions and tips and tricks for processing and bottoming in predicaments.

The Sensual Co-Top with TieBindLash & Sir D (All, Floor)

A beginning to end sensual experience, this interactive class will explore consent and vetting in a scene involving 2 or more tops. We will explore how to establish boundaries and setting individual and group intentions for safer, fulfilling scenes for all involved. This class will start with the importance of vetting between the tops as well as between the tops and bottom. Co-topping is a dance between tops that will include verbal, nonverbal and physical communication to achieve a seamless experience. Topics to be discussed among the tops include nonverbal signals and gestures, consent, hard limits, strengths, and weaknesses (some tops may be better at tying some parts of the body over other parts), how they hope to feel, desired outcome (content creation, fulfilling moment etc.), the role and intentions of the top are critical to curate a meaningful experience for the bottom. The negotiation process with the bottom must include consent that is given to both tops, which can vary. For example, a bottom may be comfortable being touched/tied in more places by one top over the other and that is ok. The tops should communicate their strengths in a way that allows the bottom to understand what each top will be able to bring to the scene. We will also discuss the scene and aftercare.

They are also regularly referred to in Western culture as “T-rex” or “raptor arms”. In this class, Cinder presents a tengu variation , which he designed with his partner, Josie Posie. This tengu variation takes inspiration from gotes, and aspects of other tengus to allow for an arms-in harness that did not aggravate pre-existing nerve injuries. Josie and Cinder are passionate about tying humans of varying size, ability, gender, sexuality and creed, as such this harness was made with inclusivity in mind and we will discuss why we made the decisions we have as well as ways to adapt the harness to work better for the human you are tying. We will allow opportunities for you to tie and be tied in this harness as well as load it in different positions. This form is appropriate for skill levels, but we ask that only those with suspension experience suspend it. We will examine your harness and ask that you not suspend if we are not comfortable with your skill level.
